This video is all about math patterns, including repeating, growing, and shrinking patterns, for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade learners. Repeating patterns are easy for students to understand as they are most likely familiar with the concept they just didn’t know it had a name.
At 2nd grade math levels, students are introduced to the concept of growing patterns. These are patterns in which something is added every time the sequence repeats. They also learn about shrinking patterns. These are the opposite of growing patterns where things are removed each time. This video presents an example of how to find different types of patterns in a friendly and entertaining way. It is an excellent review or for independent study.
