In this video for Algebra 1 students, you will learn about the Standard Form of a linear equation. The standard form of a linear equation is written in the following format: y = mx + b Where "m" is the slope and "b" is the y-intercept. This equation can be rewritten in slope-intercept form by setting "y" to zero and solving for "x." First, A, B, and C must be integer values and A must be positive. Especially, when solving for the slope, it may be simpler to rewrite it in point-slope form. In this case, the equation should be written as follows: y - y1 = m(x - x1)
