How to Pay for College | Crash Course | How to College

One of the most common questions about going to college is how to pay for it. Erica Brozovsky starts by debunking myths about affordability and financial aid options in this video. She also covers the difference between the direct (from the school) and indirect (everything else) costs of going to school. This is an often overlooked part of paying for school. Students see the direct cost but don't consider things like housing and food. I know I was shocked to learn tuition did not include the cost of the dorm room and a meal plan. For high school students and some parents/guardians, this is a whole new world for them, so what seems like common knowledge to some is brand new to others. This is a great video to help bridge that gap. For more tips on preparing for college, check out the links to our previous posts below this video.
