Happy International Museums Day! In honor of this day, we wanted to highlight one of our favorite virtual field trips to a museum. In this virtual field trip, students will get to go behind the scenes of the Detroit Institute of Arts. Normally, only certain people are allowed in the restricted area of the museum, but PBS Kids was able to get a special tour. In this video, students will learn about how time changes the way we see art. Over time, the original materials change as they age, so the picture or sculpture we see today may not be what the original artist saw when they first created it. Check it out!
