A Tale of Two Beasts, written and illustrated by Fiona Roberton, is the story of a little girl and a beast. The girl finds the beast and takes it home, where she feeds it, shows it to her friends, and dresses it up. But the beast thinks the little girl is the true beast. This story exemplifies how people can settle their differences and view others from new perspectives.
The narrator, Sarah Silverman, is an American comedian, actress, and writer. She’s popularly known for her work on TV shows like Saturday Night Live and the Wreck-It Ralph series. Her comedy acts illustrate social issues, such as racism, sexism, homophobia, and more. Currently, she hosts The Sarah Silverman Podcast, where she discusses various topics from her social life to politics.
Author and illustrator Fiona Roberton has won multiple awards for her work. Such awards include the 2011 International Reading Association award for her picture book, Wanted: The Perfect Pet, and its sequel, The Perfect Present.
