Anna Eleanor Roosevelt was born on October 11, 1884. She was born into a politically successful family. Her father was the brother of President Theodore Roosevelt, making her the niece and wife of two presidents. She married Franklin Roosevelt (her father's 5th cousin) in 1905. She became the First Lady in 1933 and would remain the First Lady until her husband's death in 1945. After the White House, she would serve as a delegate to the United Nations General Assembly.
