Fractions on a Number Line

This video supports Common Core State Standard 3.NF.2.b: Represent a fraction a/b on a number line diagram by marking off lengths 1/b from 0. Recognize that the resulting interval has size a/b and that its endpoint locates the number a/b on the number line. Indiana Academic Standard 3.NS.5: Represent a fraction on a number line (1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/8); recognize intervals on a number line and an endpoint.  This is a great tool to visually work through plotting fractions on a number line.  The first half of the video uses fractions less than 1 while the second part includes mixed fractions up to 2.
