Homemade Aphid Spray
Aphids are small, soft-bodied insects that can infest plants and cause damage to leaves, stems, and flowers. They can also transmit diseases to plants. If you're looking for a natural way to get rid of aphids, you can make your own aphid spray at home.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon dish soap
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions:
- In a spray bottle, combine the water, dish soap, and vegetable oil.
- Shake the bottle well to mix the ingredients.
- Spray the aphid spray directly onto the aphids.
- Repeat the application every few days until the aphids are gone.
Tips:
- To make the aphid spray more effective, you can add a few drops of essential oil, such as peppermint or rosemary oil.
- Be sure to spray the aphid spray on the undersides of leaves, where aphids are often found.
- Apply the aphid spray in the early morning or evening when aphids are less active.
- Reapply the aphid spray after it rains or if you water your plants.
