These iconic athletes paved the way for future generations, but representation for young Black girls in the sport has been historically limited. Enter Kameryn, a 20-year-old figure skating coach in Detroit, Michigan, who is changing the narrative and making a powerful impact on her community.
Featured in the National Geographic series IMPACT with Gal Gadot, Kameryn's story is one of dedication, passion, and a deep desire to empower young Black girls both on and off the ice.
Breaking the Ice: Representation Matters
