Early Life

A Legacy of Peace

Martin Luther King Jr. was a brave and courageous leader. He risked his life to fight for justice. He was arrested and even attacked for his beliefs. But he never gave up. He continued to fight for equality until the day he died.

On April 4, 1968, Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee. His death was a shock to the world. But his legacy of peace and equality continues to inspire people today.
