RATIO & PROPORTION
Ratio and proportion are concepts that allow us to describe and compare the size of two quantities. 1:2 means that for every 1 group of item A, there are 2 groups of item B. The ratio form of 1:2 is written as a fraction 1/2 or in decimal form 0.5 12:14 means that for every 12 groups of item A, there are 14 groups of item B. The ratio form of 12:14 is written as a fraction 3/4 or in decimal form 0.75
