Salinger’s The Catcher in the Rye.  These videos will help students support their own analysis of the text by citing strong and thorough textual evidence for the explicit and inferred meaning of the text.  These videos will also aid in students being able to determine a theme or central idea of the text by providing an objective summary of the text.  Students will be able to analyze the complex characters and how they interact with other characters and advance the plot or aid the overall theme or themes.  The contents of this video study guide will help students understand the meaning of words and phrases from the book and how they contribute to the meaning or tone of the passage.
