The Little Calf and the Little Lamb: A Christmas Carol for Kids
It was a cold night in Bethlehem, the stars shining bright in the sky. The animals in the stable were all snuggled up, sleeping soundly. But one little calf and one little lamb couldn't sleep. They were too excited for Christmas morning.
"I wonder what Christmas is all about," said the little calf.
"I've heard the older animals talking about it, but I don't really understand," said the little lamb.
Just then, a wise old donkey came over to them. "Christmas is about the birth of Jesus," he said. "He's the Son of God, and he came to earth to save us all."
"Save us from what?" asked the little calf.
"From our sins," said the donkey. "We all make mistakes, but Jesus came to forgive us and give us a new start."
The little calf and the little lamb were amazed. They had never heard anything like it before. "That's wonderful!" said the little lamb.
"I want to celebrate Christmas with Jesus," said the little calf.
Just then, a loud noise came from the other side of the stable. The animals all woke up and ran to see what was happening.
In the center of the stable, a baby was lying in a manger. He was wrapped in swaddling clothes and looked so peaceful. The animals all gathered around him, their eyes filled with wonder and awe.
The little calf and the little lamb were so happy. They had finally seen the baby Jesus. They knew that Christmas was a special time, a time for peace, joy, and love.
And so, the little calf and the little lamb sang a carol to the baby Jesus. They sang about his love for them and about how happy they were to celebrate his birthday.
The other animals joined in, and the stable was filled with the sound of their joyful singing. And the baby Jesus smiled, his eyes full of love and kindness.
This Christmas, remember the story of the little calf and the little lamb. Remember that Christmas is a time for peace, joy, and love. And remember that Jesus came to earth to save us all.
Christmas Carol Lyrics
Little calf and little lamb,
We sing a carol to our King.
He came to earth on Christmas Day,
To bring us joy and peace and love.
The stars shone bright above the stable,
As angels sang in heaven's halls.
We welcome you, dear baby Jesus,
To this world, you're the King of all.
Little calf and little lamb,
We're so happy you're here with us.
We'll sing your praises, baby Jesus,
And celebrate your love for us.
