If you work with flash you'll need to be aware of something called your cameras "Flash Sync Speed". In this video Gavin Hoey takes you through exactly what flash sync speed is and why it's his go to shutter speed when working with flash in his small home studio.

Once Gavin has gone through the essential information, he looks at a scenario where the shooting at the flash sync speed gives a less than perfect result. He'll take you through the why's and how's of what's happening and has some simple tips to get a great shot in mixed lighting.
