AMLE2014 Annual Conference - Opening General Session

In the opening general session of the 41st Annual Conference for Middle Level Education (AMLE2014) in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Tonya Matthews, president and CEO of the Michigan Science Center, spoke to the importance of science and math education for young people. Dr. Matthews said that science and math are critical for developing problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, and that middle-level education is key to developing these skills in young people.
