When 14-year-old Agi Geva arrived at the Auschwitz-Birkenau killing center with her mother and sister, nothing made sense anymore. Despite this, she could not have imagined that the motion of a guard’s hand could decide whether she lived or died. Together, the three of them endured four camps, including Auschwitz twice, and faced the horrors of forced labor and a death march before liberation by American troops in April 1945. Listen to First Person on January 18, 2023 to hear Agi Geva's story in her own words. This program is made possible through generous support from the Louis Franklin Smith Foundation.
