We continue our look at philosophical reasoning by introducing two more types: induction and abduction. Hank explains their difference by using the example of trying to figure out how a candle works. Abduction is when we come up with the best explanation for the evidence, even if it's not necessarily true. Induction is when we look at a lot of evidence and try to come up with a general rule.
