A team of historians turns the clock back to the year 1500 to take on the role of the lay-folk who farmed and crafted within monastic walls. The team, including archaeologists and craftspeople, will spend the next six months living as their predecessors did, using only period-appropriate tools and materials. The project seeks to better understand the everyday lives of the monks and lay-folk who lived and worked within the monastery.
